Hi everyone, I'm new to these boards. I'm finding some great information on here though. (someone recommended a site to buy dog crates I'll be ordering soon!) At the end of July I'm getting a cocker spaniel pup. I'm so excited! Anyhow Ive been trying to read up on everything I can, & thought I would like to try grooming him myself. I'm a complete novice, I've got a book with pics explaining it, (also one someone recommended on these boards I think) but am I wasting my time?? I don't want my cocker to look a disaster after Ive attempted to groom him. But I'd love to give it a try. Any help woul be much appreciated.

Give it a go Penny :) if other people can learn to do it why not you? This company produce a good video that I have found very useful. Your breeder wll probably be happy to run through things with you and perhaps help you with the move from puppy coat to adult.

Thanks Jane, I just Googled that site tonight as I could not be bothered to get out my video and look up the number :), its a wonder AMP don't have their own site by now.

They do but it only seems to cover their disposable whelping boxes - not sure why they don't add their grooming vids, it would make it a lot easier for people to order them :-)
