Topic Dog Boards / Showing / What class?
- By nutkin [gb] Date 31.05.03 20:31 UTC
I was wondering what happens when a bitch/dog gets a cc and has booked lots of shows in say graduate/ post graduate. Do they have to drop out of the shows as they should be in limit or open. Or can they continue showing in post grad/graduate as they have entered and paid up.?
I have noticed a few dogs that have got cc's this year as still being show in graduate class and post grad.

If you enter a show 7days before the closing date then whatever the qualification status of the dog at that date is the one that stands, and you can enter that class. With championship shows it could I think be possible to enter as a novice and be a champion when you actually do the class. But you would have to be the owner of a very nice dog.

Nutkin, if you put in an early entry (more than 7 days before entries close) in a Post Grad class, and you then go on to win a C.C. you should phone the secretary and explain the situation to her and ask to be transferred to Limit. If however, the C.C. win takes place after entries are closed or within the 7 day period leading up to then, your original entry into Post Grad is quite acceptable.
