can someone help me my staffi is going mad when i tri to brush him

How old is your Staffy - if he/she is still a pup they will probably think it is some sort of a game .
Have you previously had problems or has your Staffy always been like this ?

How do you mean going 'mad'? Is he acting aggressively as if he doesn't like it or wriggling like mad trying to get away?
What sort of grooming brush/equipment are you using? It might be uncomfortable for him if he is ticklish or some tools could be scratching his skin and making him sore.
Staffies have a smooth coat which is quite easy to maintain. My favourite item is a chamois leather which would be ideal to use on a staffie. It gets all the grease out of the coat and brings up a lovely shine. Try using on of those.
If he tries to bite and play with it then distract him by giving him a ball to chew on while you are grooming him.
