Hi everyone ,does anyone out there know anything about rescueing certain breeds of dogs ! we are looking for a dog with low shedding coat and have been told that The Kennel Club should be able to help .but I cant find anything anywhere on their web site.We have an asthmatic daughter so have to choose carefully, We have recently lost our B/Collie x T.T. cross, she was so perfect in so many ways .she is going to be a hard act to follow!a Poodle seems a good idea but my husband is not too keen ,i hope Someone out there understands me and can help i would be so grateful Regards Sue,

Tell your husband that the poodle doesn't have to be clipped like it is in the ring. You can have it long all over if you like.

Hi Sue, I have 2 children and hubby with asthma, also my son gets anaphalaxis from certain types of animal hair (guinea pig) so we had the same problem as you.
We settled on a bedlington terrier. They are non shedding dogs and very loving and affectionate.
Our little one Nala is now 18 weeks and she is brilliant with the children so much so we are getting another one soon.
Don't know which part of the country you are in but the breeder we used is in Kilmarnock, Scotland her website addy is www.honeymist.com there is also links from there to breeders in other parts of the UK.
Hope this helps.

Regards Linda

ps. my hubby thought they looked a bit funny but he loves Nala to bits.

i think you can post details of another site so that the person can look for themselves, but you cant advertise as such(ie,i got mine from here etc).at the end of the day it could be saving a dogs life, and im sure admin would tell me off if i wasnt allowed :D
