I have found an Australian Shep pup at the local pound. It apparently ran away from it's home, so may be picked up and my questions will be moot. I have to wait until Friday to be able to purchase the dog, and I want/need some information. I know you're cringing, thinking that this dog is really a mutt, but I don't think so. It has beautfiul markings, with purity in the colors, which are black and white, tan, with little white toes..... I am afraid someone has lost their beautiful Aussie pup and hasn't the capability to find her..., but I don't want to leave her there. I need to know about how friendly, how loyal, how gentle and how loving these wonderful dogs are. If she's NOT an off-breed - or that is, less than a purebred, how big can I expect her to get? You can get back to me at either janie@wwdb.org or by calling 909.790-7100, during the evening here in California.. thank you, janie price

Hi guest

Try posting on the Yahoo Aussie Breed ring as it's generally a US group, and I know there are Californian breeders on there - they may know of someone who has lost their pup - and we KNOW that Aussies aren't just mutts! Hope all goes well for the pup and for you!

Regards
Margot
