Are there any benefits of joint ownership - on the aspect of admission to shows?!!
My pup is registered as my partners dog but it will be me who will show him (or atempt to). I've read a couple of entry forms and I can't seem to follow them sometimes - its a bad a learning the rules of golf you end up reading backwards and forwards to get some sort of answer. So am I right in thinking that one of us will have to paya spectators admission to a show?

yes thats right if the dog is in just one name one pass will be sent automatically and anyone else must pay an entry fee
edited to say a second pass isn't always sent if a dog is owned in partnership only at some shows and sometimes only if requested Gillian

Thank you for your reply - so is it a case of paying the £10 and changing ownership with the Kennel Club, to put both our names as owners?

You can do that if you want to but it isn't a requirement however you will then in some cases get two passes and save an extra admission charge but as I said before not always.Best Wishes Gillian

You don't always have to pay any admission. We show, up until recently, 2 dogs but 3 of us go. We just walk through and have never been stopped to pay any admission fee, the only show you have to pay an admission fee is Crufts & that can be done when filling out the entry form. Very few shows send a helpers pass if dog is owned in partnership, Crufts is the only show that pops into my head at the mo.

all my dogs are in my husband and my name, but it does depend on what show you attend,to how many passes you receive, sometime's my husband receive's a pass sometime's he does'nt,it just depend's,if your showing more than one dog,you normally receive as many passes as dog's
