My 6 month old Pekingese puppy is not acting like her usual self, at all. She is usually very out going and loves to be around anyone. But for the past few days she has been acting very paranoid, running away from people, restless, and is barking at everyone. She will not even go into certain rooms in my home. I'm a young dog owner so I have no idea what is going on. Could this be some symptoms for her about to go into heat?

Yes it certainly could. Bitches often go "touchy" and sensitive, keep a close eye on her.
