Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / when do they stop growing
- By Sandie [gb] Date 23.05.03 15:35 UTC
Can anyone tell me how old a springer is when it stops growing, I am changing my dogs over to Autarky and they do 3 ranges.
Spring is for 4months - 2 years
Summer is 8 months-7 years
Autumn is 7years plus
My springers are 2 years so I will use summer range, but what should I use for the 1 year olds, should I use spring until they are 2 or put them on summer like the 2 year olds.
Why is dog food so confusing.

Beacause all dogs are different.

Your youngsters are they the sor twho keep weight on, or seem to be skinny all the time even when eating enough? If the former get them on the Adult/summer diet. If the latter keep them on the Spring one.

I have been using the Summer on my lot with 100g of raw tripe on tope. Am still undecided whether to stick with it or get them back on the Arden Grange Adult (with no additives) need to see how their coats are when they ahve all finished their moult, and to see if the old girl holds condition on it!
