saw a dog other day, and really liked it, it was size of greyhound roughly, pointy nose,, lean body, racing dog probably? And it had a long grey coat? Have tried everywhere but can't see anything like it. Can anyone help please?

more than likely a lurcher,could be a deerhound or irish wolfhound,but wolfhounds and deerhounds are a lot bigger in size than a greyhound.
so you more than likely saw a lurcher possibly a deerhound/whippet/greyhound.
or a beddlington/whippet/ greyhound.
but there are so many different types of lurcher mixes,so it is hard to say which type you saw.
but i would put my life at stake and say it was a lurcher.

Was the coat very long? if so could be an afghan hound :)

Or a saluki?
