Hello everyone! I guess I just wanted a bit of moral support. I haven't had a litter for the last 3 years, and I'm a bit nervious with this one. Giola, is on her 63rd day, but she doesn't seem to start whelping soon. She's calm, not panting, not shivering, not making her bed, not nesting, still eating (very small meals and only at night), and her temperatures have been jumping between 37.4 and 38.1 (roller coaster style!) for the last week. I guess she's just taking her time, and as everything seems normal, her vet is not concerned, so I shouldn't be worried..yet. But I just hope it won't take much longer...this waiting game is killing me! We thought she was having a small litter, probably 1-2, but now she got really fat these last 3 days, she doesn't run or play anymore, and she prefers to stay in her bed.
I know it can take 'till day 68-72 at the most (I do have the Book of the Bitch, and i love it! :) ), aaaaaaahhhhhhh :O but waiting is soooo hard!

It will all happen so so soon!... Our girls temperature has dropped this lunch time so we are expecting some action soon!

hi i have a question...this is my dogs 1st litter and she is on day 62. Yesterday she went out to go to the bathroom and there was alot of mucus that came out. ive been taking her temp this week and most of the time its below 99 a few times it went to 100 but today its 98.3...other then that shes been sleeping alot and not eating to much. Do you think she will go into labor soon? Thanks for the help!

Update...day 65..Giola finally had a bit of clear mucous discharge...it wasn't much, but she had it two times today. She also keeps in bed all day long and hasn't really eaten in the last two days...is it going to happen...at laaaaast?

Let us know what happens. I am frantic of the rescue who is so miserable( can't reach her hind end to clean herslf she's so big) I leave on vacation JUNE7 and if she hasn't had it by then I think my husband will scream. He is staying home while i take the kids away. He's the puppy sitter, but I know he doesn't want to worry about them delivering while he's at work.
My dogs temp has gone as low as 98 and lots of mucus and still nothing.So today i am gonna do some painting since it's a holiday weekend in the states. And maybe if i jsut ignore her it will happen. If i have to wait until she's day 72 we are in huge trouble LOL>
