I am looking for a wire haired dachshund dog and bitch with the intention of breeding, but not intensively.
I have had smooth haired dachshunds in the past who both lived to old age. I now live in the country and have the ideal home for breeding. How would I go about finding 2 dogs that would throw healthy pups? I bought a border terrier 11 years ago with the thought of breeding, but unfortunately he has suffered various health problems, so I thought it would be unfair to pass these problems on to future generations. Max is still with us, but he is now an old man, and I would like to have more dogs before we lose him. Where do I start?
