There is a character called Randall in Monsters Inc (Kids film) . The little girl in the film is called Boo, and there are 2 other female characters in it called Celia and Roz.

Just in case you wanted a theme!!!

Good luck with your pup, Hayley

Debb, I absolutely loved taking up the challenge of naming our two pups, I immediately went out & bought a baby name book and spent two hours looking through a list of names and their meanings on the web. If you tap in 'baby names' on any search engine it will throw up loads of sites for you to peruse.

I'm sure that as your pup develops you will pick up on character traits which will help decide on a suitable name anyway.

Good luck and let us know what you decide on!

I know a Spanish Water Dog called Lola, I hope that she turns out half as good as she is. She's a real sweetie, beautiful and a real character at times. Hope you have fun with your baby.

I have two bullmastiffs i named them Bella, Zena and i am keeping one of Zena's pups ( if she is in pup) and i will call her Duchess, I have bred litters before and I have named them after the characters in the games my son play ie, warhammer etc as they are usually very manly or the females have good strong meaning names but these are of couse their K C Reg names. some of the owners have named their dogs Tia,Major Buzz i hope this helps you a little bit

hi ya i read your letter and you said you had two bullmastiffs .we also have two (randell and lola ) i am thinking of breeding them but i,m not making any decisions untill ive got as much information as possible.it seems alot of breeders and books say not to,but i would be very grateful of any advice either in favour or not.i understand about having all the tests done before hand and the time and money side of things, but wondered if there is any other points i should think about.thanks debb.

I would suggest joining your national and/or regional breed club. They will probably publish year books and newsletters (getting the back numbers for a number of years will allow you to see pictures of many of the inflential dogs that are likely to be in your pairs pedigree.

They are also likely to run health and conformation seminars so that ylu can learn more about the breed. Attnding some shows and getting to know people experienced in the bred is helpful.

Your dog and Bitches breeders if reputable will no doubt belong, and be able to give you advice. Your dog and bitch may not be ideally suited as breeding partners.

Your first step I imagine would be to get them both Hip Scored (Depending on where you live this will cost around £150 eaCH), and evaluated by an experienced Bullmastiff breeder/Judge/Exhibitor
