I ASKED FOR THE BREEDERS CONTACT NUMBER,BUT THEY STILL REFUSED.CAN THEY DO THIS? WHY DO THEY REFUSE TO REGISTER HER?IF SHE'S ENTITLED TO BE KC REG,SURELY THEY SHOULD GIVE US A REASON WHY.IS THERE ANYONE WHO KNOWS ABOUT THIS PLEASE

Hi Guest
Please join the forum and you will then be able to answer and ask further questions. :)
A breeder is under no obligation to register a puppy even if the parents are KC registered and quite a few only register part of the litter. this is to prevent pet quality being bred from or shown.
The kennels where you bought your puppy from are not obligated to give you the breeders details, your contract was with them not the breeder.
Did the kennels state to you in writing that your girl would be KC registered ? if not then you have reached a dead end I'm afraid.
It's not very nice for you but unfortunately these are the facts.

Probably means the bitch was either breed too young or too often, if this is the case registration would be refused anyway. You could askthe local council about if they have a licenced or not. If when you bought the bitch you were told she would be KC registered you may be able to force the matter but if not you will have to put it down to experiance. It will only cause a problem if you should want to show.

Hi Guest when you say you asked for the breeders number I am asuming you bought from a commercial outlet of some sort who did not actually breed the dog.

If so you have no chance , it is also against the Kennel club code of ethics for breeders to sell the puppies to a agent who then sells the dog again.

Valuable lesson learned already buy from a good breeder only..

Sorry for you hard luck

Pam

Edited to add, just re read your post title so now confused about who was the breeder, when you say you asked for Breeders number, does this mean you bought from breeder or didn;t know breeders number?

Or was it the breeders licence number not the phone number. Must admit I have now read the post 3 different ways, so lets hope the poster registers and puts us all straight.
