Can someone explain to me how new affixes work ie. At what point can I use my own affix for newborn pups parented by pups that I have "bought in". I was looking at the blurb at the back of the kennel club form and it seemed to suggest that I must have bred both parents before my affix could go at the front. Is this correct?
Am I also correct in thinking that I can put my own affix at the end of any pups I have bought in? Do I need permission from the original breeder to be able to do this.
Thanks for any help!
Liz
Hi Liz
Providing the dogs you have brought in don't have "change of name not permitted" then you can add your affix at the end.
If you own the bitch you can put your affix at the front of her offspring's names
If someone else owns the bitch and breeds her to a dog, also of your breeding, you buy a pup, then you can put your affix at the front of the pup's name.
Hope this makes sense
