We are getting our Border Collie puppy in 2 weeks and still haven't decided on a name! Any ideas anyone? Thanks,

when me and my husband first got married 12 years ago we brought a border collie,and he died last year of dementia and other complications his name was "phil".
what you getting a dog or a bitch?
i still miss phil he was a great dog,and he was great with our daughter i think that you have made a good choice.

oops just noticed,its a little girl one,the joys of having children around.
cassie?molly?oh and my gran had two paddy and frieda....i think that collies are smashing dogs and as i said earlier i still miss my phil he was just a great dog.

Good Collie names I have known are, Smartie, Freija, Echo, Flicker, Jessie .......... i could go on and on, pop along to an obedience or agility show, you will be spoilt for Collie names!!!

Good luck with your pup, we will hopefully be getting a pup later this year, it is sooooo exciting!!!

I used to have a girl dog called Betsy. Our boy Boxer is called Dexter (hence the name Dexy!) and hopefully we'd like a girl one after the summer - maybe call her Daisy.

hi also, what about inca. I love this name! When i got my sibe puppy 5 weeks ish ago i couldn't think of a name so i searched for dog names on the internet. I found a really good website - can't remember what it is called, with over 23,000 names! I only got to the b's but decided on bandit - which really suit s him because everytime i look around he's stolen something!! he he he!

how about Honey,Misty,Jesse,Xena,Mitzy,Tara,Arial,just a few :) register and let us know what you call her ok? i have edited my message after reading all replies 3 of us come up with jesse must mean something.

What about Cissy or Missy but dont call her Rosie if she's a singleton puppy!! but thats another story. Ive got a puppy called Missy her mother was called Trixie and her grandmother was called Cissy.
