Hi,
i have a 2 year old dog who gets taken everywhere,so he's not on his own he even goes to work during the morning!
He loves me his(MUMMY)very much,he doesn't like any of his doggy freinds giving me a cuddle,so i'm wondering how he will react to anew pup in his home.
The thing is his lifestyle will change a little, as they wont both be able to be taken to work,he also often po's into town with me because i am able to pick him up.
He is very active i take him out at least three times a day and he wont play hardley, unless i play with him,he lies in the garden looking all lonely and thats when i think he needs a pal.He love's seeing his mates and never bothers with me when they are around!
so i keep on waying up the pro's and con's,
anyone with any advice let me know!thanks..

hehehe thats one pampered dog! Its a really hard decision and to be honest i think that only you can make it! you need to look at your situation, your dog, your family life..could you fit a pup into it? would your dog like it? are you happy for your dog to change?
I have recently taken the step of getting a pal for my 8yr old Schnauzer. Monty our pup is now 10wks old and we have had him for 3 weeks and Boston will not have anything to do with him! This will take time, and as Monty gets older im sure they will be friends. However Boston is not really that sociable with other dogs, but i thought a pal of his own might change that.
Only you know your dog and can decide if he would like a pal. Do some research and try and ask people you trust who have added more dogs to their familys and take advice!

Hi thank's for replying,
i have got time to fit in a pup as i only work during the morning, that's not the problem it's how my dog will handle it.
As i said he loves playing with other dogs and he gets very bored when he is on his own.
At the end of the day he cant have the best of both worlds can he!!!i shall make sure he is involved with the puppy training and gets plenty of extra luv!!!!!!!!
As for his life style changing that means staying at home for three hrs per day, which isan't alot is it, in comparison of having a buddy to play with all of the time!
