Hi,
Just a short note and a question really one of my cats I have two both 20 this year!
They should be brother and sister I say should be because the only info I have to back this up is they were found in the same black bin liner having being dumped at 5 weeks in a rubbish bin!
Anyhow, the question now is does anyone el;ses cat eat curry!
Oscar the "boy" has become a curry officionado! He's moved from my "tikka or makhan" to partners "madra or vindaloo"
Okay he doesn't eat loads but he does like the sauce and pieces of chicken that have the sauce on. He is quite fond of nan bread to.
Mind you he likes fresh spaghetti as well.
No accounting for cats is there.

You guys must be joking! - there's no way I'd go near a litter tray after a cat with a backside like the Ponderosa map has been perched on it following a vindaloo

.
It's bad enough after Whiskas.

hi karen,
i have a cat that loves chicken curry, and chinese chicken and mushroom he also loves lasagne,so after a long arguement over a name for him we decided to call him garfield (garfy) for short and hes 6 years old now.

My cat is a food theif/
He loves pretty much any food, the only exceptions being Salt and vinegar crisps, he does NOT like them, an if you offer him one, he gets all huffy and offended!
He does like, Jam sandwiches, cheese, spaghetti, anything with meat in it, quorn ham, linda mccartney sausages, most fruits, most veg, adn the weirdest thing he likes, is the dogs rawhide chews, which he will steal!

I don't know about cats and curry but my last Malamute girl adored curry. She wouldn't eat her own dinner if we had a curry until we put some of the sauce on her food!

My little boy cat, Louey, absolutely LOVES curry!! He spends most nights down at the local pub, usually returning at 3am absolutely reeking of beer & smoke to snuggle up next to me like your typical bloke.
But when we've got curry for dinner that boy can smell it a mile off & comes dashing in to lick the remnants off the plates..hence his nickname: Vinda-Louey!

Ah you see I'm one up on you got Oscar (the cat) to give up fags and booze but he won't give up the curry;) and I don't blame him, actually we are in the centre of the "balti belt" being in B'ham :)

VindaLouey pretty much moved out a couple of months ago. On his return visits we knew exactly where he'd been due to the stench of strong ale & scampi clinging to his fur! He looks very similar to the Bacardi cat on the adverts, so maybe the pub adopted him hoping to increase Bacardi Breezer sales.
Evidently it didn't work. I think he's been sprung & kicked out as he's moved back in again. He also seems to have twigged that Hugo is lame. He usually enjoys winding up Hugo by sitting in front of the dog gate leisurely & serenly washing himself, calmly watching the seething mass of dobermann trying to eat him just an inch away from his face. Tonight however, he jumped straight over the dog gate, stood in front of Hugo & miaowed loudly before stalking out the back door to take a pee. By the time Hugo had gotten over the sheer audacity and struggled out of bed, Louey had calmy strolled off into the night.
The last time Louey dared to do this, I ended up rescuing him from inside Hugo's mouth! That cat knows no fear...

It's not just cats who like strange food. My first hamster, Penny, loved chilli! We discovered this one night after we had been eating in front of the TV as usual, dishes were down on the floor and Pen was playing on thr coffee table. She took a nose dive off the edge into what was left of the chilli, and loved it. After that, if she could smell it, she would beg for some! She also had a liking fof chocolate, and you had to be careful, cos if she could smell it on your hand, she was likely to sink her teeth into your flesh! Ouch!
