This probably something I should know the answer to, but I'm at work so dont have my puppy books with me to swot up on the answer.
But now that Darcy is 6 months old am I reaching the end of her growth period. I know they grow continually for is it another 18 months or something but I mean significant growth. At what age would you expect them to reach breed standard height
(can you tell I'm considering showing!!!!)
And if thats far a way off yet how do you know if they're on track to reach that height
Do they have expected heights for puppy classes.
I'm worried that Darcy is short in the leg for a labrador and would like something to check her against.
Hhmmm suddenly not sucha basic question
Anyone any advice greatly appreciated as ever

Hello,
I am only going by my own breed (beardies) and from what I see in my puppy classes, but I would recon between 6-8 months, they should have reached their full height and will just fill out and mature later on.

I would have thought that at 6 months a lab had a bit more growing height wise yet.

Ashy is now a year and I would say he has reached full height, but will not fill out for at least another year.
And he looks like he is going to be a big boy

I have never had a Labrador finish growing until 2 years old. When "The Flower" reached the standard height at around a year old everyone told me she was finished. Unfortunatly no one told her and at 2 years old she was 3 inches over height! Still, it does make clearing 5 bar gates childs play (Puppies play???)
She has all the time in the world yet.
