I'm looking for a dog and the lady next door said that she has not got the spare cash to keep her dog (she said she has not money to feed it), who is a two year old boxer, we have lived next to her for about 3 months now, so know the dog. My only problem is i have a 2 year and i'm not sure if i can trust the Tiger? she has been with the same lady for her whole life who also has a 2 year old, should i chance it,will my girl be ok, not really knowing what boxers are like.

im in the process of purchasing a boxer. i chose the breed for there charector family pet. but i think it depends on how well the 2 yr old boxer has been socialised. im also aware from reading books and talking to other owners that they are boysterous (they mature around 4 years old). i have an eight year old and introduced her to fully grown male boxer, to see if she felt intimidated by the size she was fine. good luck

Hi guest,
My last boxer didn't have much contact with children untill we had one when he was 3.You could not have asked for a more gentle dog with them!He seemed to know not to be so bouncy with them and never so much as growled at any child his whole life.If this dog has been around a small child then I doubt you will have any problems.Boxers LOVE everyone especialy children. We have just got a new Boxer puppy,we wanted another Boxer as we knew he would be good with our 5 year old bouncy son-I think they have the same mentality!!
