Following a number of postings on the subject, could anyone please advise the quantity I would need to give to a springer in an attempt to help with shyness. Also where is the best place to buy it? Many thanks.

I have heard of Rescue Remedy being given also - has anybody used this before ? Is it ok and safe to use ?

I know of a few Danes that Rescue Remedy has been used on. It seems to calm them down a bit without overdoing it, just seems to take the edge off their over the top boisterousness (sp?). I haven't used it myself cos if I was to use it on Maggie she'd be flat on her back, she's soo laid back anyway! :D

This is one of the Bachs Flower Remedies range and for me is a total life saver. I am sure that I would never have passed my driving test without it, got my degree or indeed my current job. I also use for my dogs if they seem nervous before going into the ring, it is not addictive or harmful and really works. It was recommended to me by a vet as a life saver for very young puppies, you can also buy rescue cream which has the same effect when rubbed onto puppies tummies.

It can be bought from most large chemists such as Boots, Superdrug etc or Holland and Barratt.

I've used Vitamin B one tablet a day and it has worked wonders on a no. of Spanish Water Dogs. It was some time ago when I used it, I'll be going training on Monday so I can find out the proper dose for you then.
