Hi all , i finally retrieved my old user id ! hurrah!
Any way , the question at hand~ do any of you know of any good kennels? i might need to board Ella for three weeks this October , and allready i have butterflys.I really dont want to , but we've had an offer of a holiday to Florida paying next to nothing , the kids would kill us if we say no.Ella will be a week over 1 yr.
Her breeder will just have had her second litter so wont have room to board her.I might be able to find some one else in our water group before then , but as a back up i want to chec out some good kennels.
Know of any? she is a big dog ( Newfoundland) and im worried they might not know enough about the breed~MOST people tend to think they eat loads and walk loads...both not the case. Also she needs grooming often , and Ella needs plenty of attention , not to be left in a kennel and run alone allday.
So if any one knows of anything it would be gratefully recieved.

Now if you lived up here in Darlington I could point you in the direction of some lovely new boarding kennels, with TV, video, radio, bed, and goodness know what else:D How about that for luxury. Sorry can't be more helpful.

no where's too far to travel if it means she'll be well cared for ... though a little closer may be better!!

Hi Zoe
dont know where you are based. Fabulous new (well, revamped/rebuilt) kennels opened up here, just outside of Sunderland. It is th first of the new Animal Care Centres which Waltham is openinging. The "kennels" are more like rooms and are enclosed so other dogs barking wont disturb, they have video cams so you can log in and watch your pooch from anywhere, and all sorts of othre facilities, inc. hydrotherap. You can speciy how mucy grooming, palytime, cuddle time etc you want, and the girlas are all great - Puglet goes swimming twice a week and is fussed over shamelessly by the staff.
Will give details if you want. 2 more of these are on the way, one I think Leeds the other Cheshire, but dont know how close to completeion yet. Will give details if you want
bye

Hi Pam,
The Kennels have just been built, it is called Aeolian House, it was actually featured on a programme on channel 4 the other night, called Blood under the carpet, though not for the kennels:D We go dog training there and Andy said that the programme had done them the world of good, the phone hadn't stopped ringing. Their telephone number is 01325 332672. As it is only new I don't have much feed back but the place looks brilliant, also I think I am right in saying that you can log in and see your dog as it basks in the luxury, then when it comes home expects the same:D

Hi Bev - gosh is that place a kennel now? When we lived in Sadberge the murder actually happened - we used to refer to it as "The Murder House" didnt see the programme - did they ever find the culprit?

Hi Gwen,
No they never did find anyone for the murder. My husband is from Sadberge, you will probably know his family, Schott, we live just outside of Sadberge now. Where abouts in Sadberge did you live?

Only lived there a couple of years in the early 90s - bought Rowan Cottage on West Row - on the corner by the Church, diagonally opposite what used to be the shop! Handy for Sunday papaers, as the cottage next to the shop sold the Sundays - just had to pop over the road!
If your husbands family were the transport/removal people I knew them a bit - was their Yellow Pages rep for a couple of years! Dont think they would remember me - will have had many other reps by know:)
bye

Hi Gwen,
Yes that's us, the transport and removal business belongs to my husband and myself. Still going strong. Sorry, have to say I can't remember you but Owen usually deals with advertising etc. so he may do. It's a small world isn't it.
