Ideas anyone?

I never succeeded with my boy. Once his male hormones came to the fore that was it.

Sorry

Depends how old your dog is?? also does he only do it in the ring amongst other dogs?

Hi Solusmor,
I solved mine with a horse style whip with a loose bit of dangly string, about 15cm long at the end of it. I then trotted the dog around and everytime it lifted its tail up I tapped its tail with the whip and said "tail". I didn't use the whip as a weapon of destruction but I found it was the easiest thing to do to reach the dogs tail and keep it trotting normally. It took about 2 months for the dog to learn the command tail. Some people have used rolled up newspapers in the past but I've found this makes the dog reluctant to toilet on the paper.

Thank you all for replying to my post, He is just over two years old and it was only in the ring that we noticed it after he had made himself known to a couple of bitches. I will try the horse whip method and if all else fails maybe it will have to be the velco or even superglue!!!
