I have a papillon, which was mated March 7, her due date would be this coming Sunday, mother's day! She had all signs, sagging teats, milk, enlarged belly, eating a lot. This last week and half she looks like normal, and her signs went away, but there is still a little milk there. Was this a false pregnancy or if she was bred late could it be a small litter. What do you think? Thanks.

Hi,

Possibly a false pregnancy, but sone pups will move prior to being born and the bitches shape will change, it could just be that. :)

Good luck and let us know how she gets on.

I know several pap breeders and they have had 4/5 puppies in a litter but of course you can get the ones that only have 1 or 2.
