Topic Dog Boards / Showing / Someone pinched my table!

Went to Birmingham yesterday - lovely day, gorgeous weather, thoroughly enjoyed myself (as did Mabel Pug) even though we got slung in our class and missed the Stakes! Packing up after watching the group and chatting to friends I was shocked to discover someone had pinched my grooming table! Suppose I should think myself lucky that they didnt take Mabel too!
bye

How nasty! It just puts a shadow over the day - let's just hope that whoever pinched your table puts their back out running off with it!!

Maybe they are hoping that some of your 'luck' will rub off on them, now they have your 'lucky' table Gwen.

Well I just hope that the luck which rubs off on them reflects my day at the show - unplaced in the class and missed the stakes!

I hope that perhaps it was a genuine mistake, and whoever was maybe helping someone pack up took your table by mistake. A plea for its return in the dog press might ilicit its return???

I had mixed luck Gwen, I got in stakes, but fidn't place, only to have my out of coat bitch then win her class, the bitch CC and then BOB. Lovely win, but annoying that the beaten dog rule apples with these stakes classes!

We were second in the ring, and the stakes were called after Limit dog. My thinking was, out of coat we cwould be extremely lucky to win our class, let alone the CC, and certainly didn't consider we might go BOB!

Thanks Gwen. I feel like that :D Just as well I don't know anything about the Group judges preferences, but was disappointed as my girl loves a big ring to show off her movement in. :(

Well done Brainless!!

I'll be there tomorrow with one dog less though as the other one cut her foot on Friday and is limping away at the moment:mad:

I know how you feel, I had my trolley stolen off my bench at Driffield the year before last - I'd only just bought it at Leeds and used it for Darlington then Driffield, and couldn't really afford to buy the thing in the first place (but convinced myself I may as well get it then cos I needed one).
We could certainly do without the people that do things like that :-(

Hi Nicky
It really puts a cloud on the day, doesnt it? Have arranged for friends to get me one today (and by get I mean buy one from HUB!, not pick up someone elses;))and have arranged for its legs and frame to be sprayed a bright colour tomorrow - wont stop someone walking off with it again, but will make it more noticeable. Was also considering microchipping, but dont think people would appreciate it if you went round with a scanner 'beeping' at their tables!
It was one of the small, fold in the middle type, easy to carry, and just about a year old, jope they jam their fingers folding it up:(

Know how you feel, but mine wasn't as bad..
My silly other half in his wisdom, left my Crufts catalogue on my ringside
seat instead of taking it with him to the benches.
Well by the time I'd got back some 'kindly' light fingered person had walked off with it! :(
GRRRRRR it just put the icing on a naff stressful day, with Royal Mail losing my mum's Crufts tickets
etc etc. :( Much easier being just a spectator at Crufts instead of an exhibitor! :D
Still even though I'd had a naff day, found someone had left their shopping on their benches at the end of the day
and took it home with me, and managed to find the rightful owner and re-unite them with their shopping.
:) So that was my good deed for the day even though I'd had a naff day.

Hope the Karma comes back to haunt them quickly "What goes round comes round"

Kind Regards
Kirstine
