has anyone else had the same bad experiences with breeders?eg.they give you a date to pick the pup up, and say they will ring you but don't bother, they cock up the pups registration so it takes 6 weeks to process, and they can't be bothered speaking to you when you ring up to check on how your pup is doing!!!!
i AM REALLY ANGRY!!!today is the day i was suppose to be picking my new pup up, pending paperwork, as there has been a delay.i have held back from ringing until this morning but no one was in so i left a message.I am now presuming the kc papers haven't come through yet, but you would have thought she would have let me know by now, wouldn't you?
I have had a litter of pups this year so i know all the work invoved in caring for them etc and vetting new owners but she only has two pups-two died- and she's keeping one herself.maybe she just isn't a people person!!

Not all breeeders are inconsiderate and most do not mean to be.But rearinf dogs os time comsuming, all sorts of problems could have arisen at the kennel.Matbe yoour breeder is at a show. try agin I'm sur it will be fine. If not, consult the breed club about another breeder.

i am aware of this as i am a breeder myself , maybe that's why i'm so mad at her lack of communication.i was receiving up to 5 phone calls a day from the prospective owners in the last week before they picked their pups up, as i realised they wanted to know how their pups were progressing.she definitely isn't showing or doing anything else remotely dog orientated, this is her first litter and she probably doesn't understand how excited people are when they are getting a new pup.
any way it'll be at least weekend before she gets the papers, as i have enquired with the kc.
Believ me i have given her the benefit of the doubt, but to promise to ring, and then not bother is downright ignorant in my book.

well if she is that disinteressted in the person who is having her pup, then I would strongly suggest you find a breeder who really does care.

i agree with sam, if shes not putting herself out now, how much more interested is she likely to be once youve taken your puppy, id be thinking of finding another breeder, one who seems interested in not only puppy buyers questions but also keen to share the puppy news with them, -what breed is it your having,

A labrador, I picked her up last night, still need the kc papers but i've got a signed note with my receipt from her.in fairness she gave me a 5 gen ped but it was in her name.she is a first time breeder!!!
anyway amber is absolutely gorgeous, and is giving my other dogs a run for their money, she didn't howl much in the night...honest!!!
