Hi,

I have a 11 week old border collie and he is eating everything from wood to grass and mud and Herbs, Is this normal?

Hi Laura,
Don't worry, that sounds pretty normal! Our puppy used to do exactly the same, whatever he could get hold of, including stones. It's just a way of exploration, the way babies will put things into their mouths. Our dog is now 12 months, and still likes to 'pick' out bits of plant roots, or sticks to have a good chew on.
Enjoy your puppy!

Minx still loves plant roots, bark and socks! We try not to let her swallow anything large or pointy, and will remove the offending object if we think it might be dangerous (sticks, rocks, plants of uncertain poisonousness!). We expect her to grow out of it in a couple of years, lol!
