
Think it depends on the size of the hernia , and evaluate against the bitch's quality/achievements. In a bitch who has a lot to offer the breed, a
small hernia should be of little consequence. However, a large hernia which needed an operation in a bitch who has yet to be proved in her field should be regarded with extreme suspicion.
I guess the large ones are more likely to be hereditary. JMO.
