i am looking for a large, well balanced , stocky block headed male with a good hip score and good history of health to mate with my excellent bitch in september. it will be her first ltter , she is a large beautiful loyal female excellent with children , good guard and a superb companion.she is very laid back and stocky not a scatty mad rott that so many people seem to be breeding nowadays,ive had rotts for over 10 years and really want a good stud for my girl , my usual contact has recently moved to the sttaes and im finding it difficult to find anything decent about. many thanks.

Have you contacted the breeder of your bitch? This is the best place to start - if they are reputable they will know which bloodlines are likely to complement your bitch's pedigree.

I'm assuming your bitch has an acceptable hipscore and has been recently eye-tested.

No eye tests for rottweilers.

I'm going by the breed advice given in 'Dogs Today' magazine. Breeders in there are advertising that their dogs are both hipscored and eye-tested.
