Can anyone offer advice on the situation below:
Bitch born in UK and reg. with KC
Exported to USA with export pedigree and reg. with American KC
Shown and becomes American Champion
The owners are bringing her back to be mated next season.
If she came early - before she came in season - would she be able to be shown in our shows as was originally reg. with UK KC?
Also would she only be eligable for OPEN classes as AM CH or would the title not limit her classes as not got 3 cc's?

i think any title of champion means the dog has to go into open !!!

Hi, yes she can be show- and it must be in Open in the UK. (Different rules in Europe, where for some reason to do with FCQ Am Ch titles dont count for champions class). If she was transferred ownership when export ped. issued then she has to be transferred again (unless you want her to compete with an ATC, which is also possible)

Thanks for your replies :-)
I know when they bought her they first transfered ownership to their name with our KC then applied for exp. pedigree and registered with AKC. Does this mean she is registered under the same owner by both KC's thus meaning eligible to be shown at any show with either KC?
Sorry to ask again just need to make sure I am understanding correctly.
Maybe I am having a bit of a blonde day today :D

Hi, as she was transferred into the American owners name when export papers issued she is now registered in that name with UK KC, this means she can be shown by them in the UK, but should have an ATC if they dont intend to re-import her permanently, with a UK address. (ATC = Authority to Compete number). Actually, this looks misleading, as of course she could get an ATC without being registered here, dont mean that everyone need to do import paperwork for ATC competing, just that in this instance it would probably be the simplest way.
bye
Gwen
