Hi ,
I am getting a Lab x Collie puppy in 2 weeks. I was wondering what type of temperment the puppy will have. I have owned dogs before but have not had this breed before. If anyone can answer It would be appreciated

As a crossbreed , no-one will be able to tell you what sort of temperament this puppy will have..all the pups from the litter could have different temperaments , some like a Lab and some like a Collie , some a mixture of both :)
I hope you enjoy your pup , don't forget , you can always

Hi,
As Melody says, with X-breds there is no hard and fast rule when it comes to temperament, but do remember this:-
Watch the litter before you decide for definate and you don't really want the first one to come forward and say hello, because this will be the most dominant and the most brave, not always a good idea, unless the mother/father are a bit shy, then your chosen pup will be nice and bold.
Don't go for the cute one that hides at the back or looks a bit scared, this is likely to be the most submissive and shy one.
See which one reacts to people best and is somewhere in the middle of the dominance scale. If you want to do obedience or agility, then ask the breeder if you can take each pup you like into a seperate area/room and play with it with a little ball or small toy. The one that chases it and brings it back will be fab to train. The one that chases it, but doesn't bring it back, will train but might be a bit more work and the one that completely ignores the toy, is unlikely to train well if at all.
Just a tip to set you in the right direction.
