My 13 week old puppy has terrible wind and I don't know why. In the book that I have it suggests possible causes for wind as being a change in diet or earing titbits and scraps. My pup hasn't had any change in diet and doesn't have titbits or scraps of any kind. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanking you in advance.

My pup (14 weeks) could sink the titanic with the wind that comes from him. He is fed tin food (Pedigree chum puppy food) as he wouldnt eat biscuits at first, just shown an interest in soaked biscuits this week. I think that there is a lot of rubbish in tin foods that just pass through the dog.

My Staffie Sox was like that on tinned food. Earned herself the name "stinky soxy". She's been much more bearable since being on Burns, but can still clear a room if she wants to

Jacky, when I lift a dog in the grooming parlour, I can tell that's what it's fed by the smell! When you start mixing it with the biscuit, and reduce the quantity of the tinned meat, things may improve - a little!

Hi PJB :D
I agree with emma :D I have exhausted this topic with my boxer.
If you click on search and put in words like .....Rotten :D ....Bottom....vile.........foul......wind........ :D It will bring up various threads on the subject!!!! with lots of very useful advice.
Just to cheer you up, it gets worse, much worse the bigger they get

:p :D Believe me, I know!!!!!!!!!!

You should try it with three Staffs running up the stairs just in front of you, your face is just about level and with each step they hit a different note... x3 :o :D :D :D

My puppy has always had this problem no matter what she is fed. She is currently on bakers complete dried food but we also add a couple of charcoal biscuits to each meal. They are available from pet shops or market stalls and take away the smell and the embarrassment!
