Topic Dog Boards / General / question about dog whistles

I have a question about dog whistles in genreal. Hopefully you can help.

I have a neighbor who does not like me.

I have a little yorkshire terrior.

Evry so often, my dog barks for no reason, sometimes I take him outside and I see the neighbors light on and their window open.

Could they be using some kind of whistle to upset of my dog?

If so, is there some device that can show that there is some high frequecy being projected?

If you aren't aware of any, can you lead me in the right direction with other peers of yours?

Thanks for your help.

Hello,

Some dog whistles do hurt some dogs ears, one of our beardies cannot stand any kind of dog whistle and flattens her ears really close to her head and often bolts. She is incredibly sound sensitive (more then normal for this breed), so it is quite possible they are using some kind of whistle.

The only thing I can think of is to contact your local council and see if they have anything that maybe you could borrow?

Manda:
Is there a dog whistle or other non-contact device I can buy to train a neighbor's dog not to bark? My inconsiderate neighbor does not care that his dog is a constant disturbance, barking day and night at nothing but other passing dogs. This dog is not a guardian, he never barks at people, he is only a turf-minding nuisance. My neighbor will not cooperate and I do not wish any confrontation with him from calling police or suing. I need a secret weapon.
Help, Larry
