I keep hearing about how things are about to change with vet prices etc, can someone fill me in as I havent seen anything.I am at the moment angry with my vet as he has just marked a product I needed for my dogs up by over 100% and I refuse to pay him for it.

I had the same thing, I was charged £1.00 per tablet which are advertised at £25.00 for 60. And when I said the treatment was covered by insurance, the receptionist said "Just give us a signed claim form, we'll do the rest", right away I thought, I wonder how much the bill will be inflated by the time the insurance company get it.
I'm worried about upsetting the vet by saying " Thats a bit steep", because there are only two near us and the other one is even dearer. And I think people worry about complaining about high charges, incase they're seen as economising on thier pets care. I know vets, like all businesses have overheads, but they still have a duty to charge reasonable prices, and its not like they pay vet nurses any thing like near what they're worth.
Sorry just a bit of a moan
