Topic Dog Boards / Health / My border terrier got skin tumour

Hi everyone,

My wife took our dog (Toffee) to the vet this morning (25/04/03) as he got this little pink lump (about 3mm) on his chin. My wife phoned to my work and told me the news that the vet thinks it is a cancer, the vet told her not to worry.

I tried not to worry, but with the word like 'cancer' or 'tumour' has caused me in great concerned and I do hope it is not serious. Has anyone had this experience before, hope you can tell me not to worry!

Toffee is going back to the vet next monday to remove the little lump. Toffee is a gorgeous and friendly little dog and he is my first dog to own since I left my parents home, he is only two years old.

Hi.
I wouldn'y worry too much, you noticed it early and will probably be nothing serious.
Let us know how he gets on.
Dawn.

Nrmally small lumps just turn out to be cysts
Our last Staffy had a large one on his back leg . It was there for years and never causd any harm
Hope all goes well for you and your dog
