I have had two Cavies who both started experiencing little staggers from approx the age of 7/8. Initially they would quietly stare into space and then stagger a little. It becomes progressive over the years eventually leading to the poor mites almost falling over. It only happens when relaxed and not when kept bust. Lasting only seconds. I have been to see a neurologist and cardiologist , had an MRI scan of the brain but nothing really concrete has come up. I hoped after my first Cavie had it I wouldn't see it again but sadly it developed in my second one. Both dogs are bitches, unrelated and had leaky heart valves but didn't require any treatment. The vets were not convinced it was epilepsy and no medication has helped. Very sadly and suddenly I have just lost Maddie my second little girl and feel so anxious about a third . Yet I love and adore the breed and no other could replace it. Neither girls died of the problem and lived until 12 and 11. Can anyone out there help me. Many thanks Judy. Hi Judy , maybe you would like to Register with us ? See I have read your post through twice and I'm not sure what you are asking :) Are you asking for info on puppies? If so , you could look here : All Things Cavalier King Charles Spaniels There is a list of breeders and also some Clubs that may be able to help

Or maybe you are asking about info on the illness that your Spaniels suffered from?

Melody :)
