My friend has an English Bull Terrier is 6 years old now. He has been puppy classesfor training and we also tried clicker with no luck. He is a lovely dog, not aggressive as I also has a 4 year old staffie who i can let off the lead. She is fine with other dogs and recall is good but what ever i've tried I cannot get bull terrier to do the same. He ill chase anything that moves even if he hears a police car. Can anyone help me or is he too old to get out of this habit?

When did the dog last go to classes ?
If he only went to puppy classes and he is now 6 years old he may need more training . It will have been a long time ago
What does your friend do when the dog does not come back ???
Also how is his recall when you are on you own walking - and there are no distractions ?

Your friends dog is definately not too old to learn again, as already mentioned he may just need a refresher course.
Your friend also needs to make herself the most interesting thing in the area at that time, a dog won't come to you for nothing, especially if there are other things to do. You have to make it worth his while.
Take VERY tasty treats out, something like dried liver, cooked liver, bits of chicken or cheese, but keep them just to recalls so they are special.
Take a toy out which makes a noise, so you can use it to get his attention and then play with him when he comes back.
Run the other way and pretend to be chasing something yourself, you will then be a great target for him to chase. :)
Hope this helps.
