about 2 weeks ago he would not eat, he has arthritis i know, then he moved about a bit more then though, although in the evening we got him to eat some cauliflower and yorkshire pudding as he just turned his head away from dog food, i have changed his dog food aswell, he ate again until 3 days ago when he would not eat anything until the evening when he had some gravy and meat, then after that he ate dog food like 10 minutes later, but today he will not eat any thing, he has moved on to his bed in the last few minutes, and also drank, he has not barked, but he keeps wagging his tail alot, when i got up this morning i found he had urinated on the floor.

could it be diabetes

How long has he been like this for ? And when yu say he is quite old what age is he exactly ?
I would phone up the vet for reassurance and to be on the safe side .
Although they do tend to rest more when older I would still get him checkd out . It could even be just the warm weather making him drink more and feel lethargic -
Fingers crossed all is well :)

If my dog wet himself and couldn't or wouldn't move out of the wet , wasn't eating etc etc I would call the vet ..for my own peace of mind if nothing else

he had got off his bed, he wet the tiles, why wont he eat any thing then, before it took him until the evening to eat, could he have had a stroke or got diabetes

There are several reasons why this could be happening, but your vet is the best person to tell you exactly what is wrong. Guessing won't help.
Please call your vet.

Difficult to tell what is going on with your dog from the short messages - best to take him to the vet with full list of symptons.

Definitely call the vet -- if an ordinarily housebroken lab is not eating and wetting the floor, you should call the vet as soon as you can. Good luck.

A sick dog won't generally eat. Some dogs are picky and not specially food-motivated. It is behaviour which is out-of-the-ordinary for a particular animal that you have to watch out for. Does your dog have a high temperature? Are his glands up? Is he drinking? What are his stools like?
Try not to offer too many different foods, if he is unwell it probably won't help, a change in diet can be quite unsettling for a dog. It does sound as if he is ill, but by offering tastier foods of the dog doesn't eat it can encourage them to be fussy as they realise by refusing one food they can get something nicer.
I hope everything goes ok at the vets.
