I'm just looking for some advice as to whether I should take Darcy drag racing with me or not

For those that dont know it is a very loud motor sport!!!

Dogs are allowed and some people do take them

We're racing and not spectating so she will be a fair distance from the track.

I'm just worried about the noise affecting her hearing

I think she'd be far happier at home, Rachael. I can't think of anything she would enjoy about it, especially if you are concentrating on racing, rather than keeping her entertained. Sorry!

My memories of Santa Pod tell me it's very very loud - especially in the pits! Leave her at home in a nice cool room with plenty of water and maybe somebody to let her out :)

oh the race only lasts 10seconds so I'd be with her 99% of the day

I'm not a big fan of racing either so she'd rarely be left on her own

We're not racing at Santapod and the pits at the one we're at are about 1/4 of a mile away from the track

She wouldnt be on her own alone either. One of my friends has her when we're not there.

Well if you're not spectating and are racing, then surely you're going to be spending most of your time in the pits - which can be unbelievably noisy. One of the prices we pay for having dogs in our life I'm afraid - decisions to be made.....

I agree with what everyone else is saying -- drag races are really loud, and they don't seem like they'd be much fun for a dog. You have a chocolate lab, right? Our lab doesn't mind crowds, but loud noises often scare him and it can do real damage to their ears. Same reason why you're not supposed to bring dogs to fireworks shows.
