I am finding it very interesting reading all the stuff on this forum, having no experience of breeding( and no desire to do so I should point out) when you have mated your bitch how do you know for sure that she is pregnant? Do you have her scanned/tested or do you just wait and see?

Some people have their bitches scanned (though it's notoriously unreliable!), vets and other experienced people can feel the developing embryos at about 4 weeks, and others just wait with their fingers crossed! :)
