I am studying for a course on Canine behaviour and have been set a task to ask a variety breed show judge.
PLEASE CAN YOU HELP???

How do you compare dogs of different breeds against each other in the ring - how can this be done?

You don't compare dogs against each other you compare them against their breed standard.

Una - as Jackie said - you don't compare them against each other - but against their own breed standard and they should then be placed in order of merit for getting nearer to their standard than the others.
