Topic Dog Boards / General / How do you get rid of the smell
- By Rose F [gb] Date 13.04.03 21:17 UTC
My 2 year old male has a favourite tree in the garden where he always pees, but I am starting to notice that it really stinks. I have tried washing down with disinfectant but it doesn't really get rid of the smell. I need to do something as I can only imagine what it will smell like in the middle of summer. Any Ideas?

Hi
There's some stuff called odorkill and it is brill and smells lovely, you can even spray it around the house,it's quite expensive about £25 for 5 litres but it really is good and has no harmful chemicals in it.

can you use it on carpets!!!!!!

we dont have a room in the house without carpet so we've suffered with the same problem

I've tried loads of things but cant get rid of the smell

Would you just soak the carpet or just scrub witha sponge or something!!!!

Hi Rachel
Yeah you can use it on anything, I usually put some, mixed with water in an empty spray bottle and use it for accidents, spray the dog bedding, wash down out side, put a bit in the mop bucket and the whole house smells lovely, you don't need very much at all to get rid of a smell. It doesn't smell like a disinfectant or jeyes it's a really pleasant smell.

hehehehe!

Animal Pet Co must have had lots of orders after we read this post, i ordered some too and it was delievered yesterday!

im really impressed, we have a cat that has a teritory problem (neuterd too!) and he likes to spray the front door (very enbarrasing smell when you have visitors) we have tried allsorts and everything was temporary..Odorkill has well done what it says, Killed it!

It smells wonderful and even after the floral smell has faded there is just a neutral smell left, smells like well like nothing! :)

I bought it to use for the pup but so far i have cleaned old carpet stains, cleaned drains, sprayed wee spots in the garden and i have generally used it all over to freshen the place up!

Thanx to all that suggested it! :)
