Could anyone provide useful advice on the best way to introduce a 'normal doggy bed' to sleep in rather than a crate. Molly is 8 month old Border Terrier, has slept in crate since she was a wee baby. Thinking long term of moving her to a bed (need space). What is the best way to introduce this idea to her and when should she finish teething?

I would be tempted to remove the cage totally and put any bedding from the cage into the new bed. Then I would just encourage the puppy to play/sleep in the dog bed.If you are not happy to remove the cage totally would the bed be small enough to fit inside of the cage?

We just removed the cage and put her vet-bed in the same place. She didn't seem to notice that the cage had gone and is quite happy with just a piece of vet-bed :)
