Topic Dog Boards / Breeding / Puppy sales contracts

I did not receive a sales contract with my puppy but was reading some of the other posts about endorsements being placed on the sale when registering pups with the KC such as breeding restrictions ect. I was just wondering how I would know if there were any such restrictions on my bitch or if there was any way I could find out? She is only 9 months old at the moment anyway so its really just curiosity for the moment and I would be planning to discuss any breeding plans with the breeder herself so I guess when I raised the issue she would tell me?!
Thanks.

Endorsements are written on the KC Ownership form which gives you details of the sire and dam . I think a breeder should tell you IF there are endorsements before you buy the pup though , and get you to sign a form to say you know about them (or this could just be Malamutes :D )

My pedigree paper from the KC stated the endorsements that the breeder stipulated.. ie not for export.

The KC Registration Certificate will show any endorsements such as
Not eligible for export certificate
Progeny not eligible for registration

This is the paper from the Kennel Club that is, in effect your dog's birth certificate and gives dogs name, dob, registration number, breeder, parents, their registration numbers and any hip and eye results (plus other tests in some breeds)
