I'm thinking about lettting my 2 1/2 year old westie bitch have a litter later on this year and I just wanted to get some advice about suppliments needed before, during and after the pregnancy. I will obviously be talking to my vet about them, but would like some advice of breeders particually westie breeders. Thankyou if you can help.

As long as you are feeding your girl a good quality food, you shouldn't need to supplement her, sometimes supplementing can do more harm than good, NEVER give calcium DURING pregnancy, but sometimes it may be needed after delivery - If you have any concerns you should speak to your vet.

Hi Ann, I don't call myself a breeder as my bitch is expecting her and my first litter, but I have given her Fit & Fertile for 6 months, since her previous season. I was planning on keeping her on it till the puppies are weaned and possibly longer to get her back in show condition afterwards.
