Anyone any idea or suggestions to make regarding dogs and holidays, thinking of taking a break and now obviously with the pup can't go abroad. (alright we could but won't I couldn't leave her that long)

Thinking of Cornwall or the Lake District any suggestions?

Try Hoeseasons. They do lots of cottages (secluded and beachy) many of which welcome dogs. Also www.farmstayuk.co.uk they do B&B and cottages where you can take your pooch. Have a nice holiday.

Try 'Your Dog' magazine, they have lots of ads for dog friendly accomodation.
We got the brochure for Creekside Cottages in Cornwall, Tel. 01326 375972, most of their cottages are dog-friendly and they sounded lovely, but as my Mum lives down there, we went to stay with her instead :)

There's a place called Low Briery in Keswick, (Lake District) 017687 72044; which has cottages, caravans and timber lodges, most of the dog-friendly too. Know about this because my Mum has been twice, she liked it so much, with her hooligan dog:)

Good luck....Hope you have a great holiday....wherever you go :)

Low Briery is in a lovely setting, never stayed there but I have often walked past both sides of the site, either on the old railway line or through the woods across the river. Keswick is also the most dog friendly town I know they are everywhere, in most of the shops and lots of the pubs even the sit down and eat ones. I suppose a pup might be quite lively but I often take my spaniel in the Bank Tavern in Keswick and she does tend to shout her order when my husband goes up to the bar and no body seems to mind.

Hi Karen

We took our girls here for the eldest ones last holiday a couple of years ago !

We had a lovely time and the girls had an even better time !

The owners are dog lovers them selves and have Labs !

Have a look.

Hi
We go to cornwall every year and always take one dog with us (yet to find anywhere that will let me take all 5) and we go on the Haven sites at cornwall most of them allow dogs but there are some restrictions on the beaches in cornwall so it is always worth checking with the tourist board as to what and where they are!
