I thought some of you might be interested to hear about my late puppy. My golden retriever had her first litter a couple of days ago, she had 4 pups and then 15hrs later produced another perfectly fit pup. I was astounded and wondered if anyone else has experienced this.

My labrador bitch produce a puppy ten hours later than the rest of the litter but it was sadly dead

Many, many years ago a friend's cocker spaniel produced 5 lovely spaniel pups - and a crossbred pup 4 days later!

That's interesting JG. How did she go with registering? I presume she just registered the spaniel pups. But if say the 6th had also been a spaniel, would she register it with a different birthdate, how would the KC deal with it? Find this such an interesting issue.

Shows the little girl had a sneaky date then;):D

As you say, only the spaniels were registered, and this was a long time ago. I don't know what you'd do nowadays if the late arrival had been a spaniel too, re birthdates etc. :)
