- By sashas mum [gb] Date 06.04.03 20:21 UTC
I have spent the last year sorting out hip scores etc so that i am ready for my bitch to come in season, found a suitable stud dog, all ready to go due at easter ish!!!! What happens bad tummy upset, colitus. next day she comes into season. she appears ok now, eating well but dont know whether it would be fair to go ahead. some sdvice would be much appreciated. thanks Del x

How old is she? If she's only 2, then there's no hurry. If she's 4, then time is marching on. Is she completely over her illness? If she's well, then there shouldn't be a problem. Like everything, it's a question of balance.

she is four so time is short, i tried last easter but she wouldnt accept him maybe a bit too early, then with her next season decided to wait for spring rather than a mad house in winter.
She seems much better. shes going for checkup with vet tomorrow so i suppose he will reassure me(hopefully). thanks anyway x

Then at her age, if the vet says she's okay, then I'd say go for it.

Good luck. :)

thanks for the moral support, you know how it is sometimes you just need someone to tell you your doing the right thing. x
