I have 3 children 2 of whome are disabled. I have had dogs most of my life and it has been hard to find a
dog to suit our family until we bought amber who is 3 quarters staff and a quarter pit bull which has worked well she adores the children she will do anything for them and they adore her. she has been easy
to train apart from one thing she is 6 months old and she still nips when she meets someone for the first
few times unless they are children she even helps me with the children, she picks clothes of the floor and
drops them under the washer.
But I am struggleing to solve this problem of nipping I did solve it for a while but my partners mate who
thought he was an expert on staffs until I proved to that staffs are not thick. I found him teasing her
with his hands and pulling on her teath and she was biting him hard to which I went mad because to me he was teaching her to bite and hard and all he could say was it was good for her teeth and I said maybe
It is until she trys to do it with a child and then he stopped and ever since then shes been nipping again.
Ive tryed the methods I tryed before but this time it doesnt seem to work . We love Amber the kids love Amber I would hate for a simple nip to turn nasty towards other people and this friend who considers
himself an expert is not allowed near her anymore.

Hi
she is still young and many dogs mouth past the 6 month stage .
I agree with you telling off this man but at this age she is probably still getting her big teeth through and may feel the need to chew through discomfort .
Pup is a full Staff and is 5 months old . He is in the process of his big teeth coming through and he likes to hold your hand in his mouth for want of explaining it better . He doesnt hurt when he does this just seems to like the feel of it
