Hi everyone just been informed of a guy selling GSD pups on one of our larger outdoor markets £50.00 each, needless to say there will be someone who has bought a puppy because they feel sorry for it, we all would but isn,t there some kind of law against this, what about the babies welfare, the exposure to all sorts of infections, and the provision of food water and shelter I dont know all the ins and outs but this cant be right

I thought it was ilegal to sell puppies and kittens like this, and the only reatil selling allowed is where a Pet shop License for selling livestock is in place????

Yeah I agree, sure this is illegal.

It is illegal to sell puppies in a public place unless licensed as a pet shop within an indoor market. Speak to the local Council Environmental Health department in the area that the puppies are being sold from they can advise you if the person is Licensed if not advise them to take appropiate action.
