Does anyone know if a bitch can get pregnant without a tie ?
Our bitch has had three matings but with no ties?
Also is there a reason why some dogs dont tie?

Not having experimented to see if it works or not, I can only give guidance from reading the subject... If the dog has mounted the bitch and makes penetration and stays inplace for a couple of minutes while thrusting, sperm should be deposited as necessary. The books I have read suggest that a tie is NOT necessary for a sucessful mate.

I have had exactly the same problem with my young stud dog as it was his first time and it is quite often inexperience with a young stud, my other older experienced dog would'nt mount a bitch at all until the time was exactly right no matter how much they flagged and pushed their backsides at him.although there can be a number of different reasons aswell.yes it is possible for a bitch to get pregnant without a tie

Many female are succesfully mated without a tie and produce large litters, it's always better to get a tie but it's only takes a few little swimmers and bobs ya uncle :D
